What's On?

Small Groups - Wednesdays - 7pm

Small Groups are a place where you are loved, valued and have a part to play. A place that openly invites the Holy Spirit to move and reveal the heart of God. A place that sees people encounter Jesus, seeks to shape culture, and grows as more people come to know Jesus. 

They are gathering again each week in student homes. Find a student at a 6:30 service or message Tim using the details on the linktree if you want to get involved. 

Living Room - 4pm chill, 5:30pm meal - Highfield Church Centre

We want to use what God has given us for good things. Board games, table football, cheap but great food all seem like good things to us! Come join us from 4pm every Sunday for Living Room: A space to hang out, grow in community, and share hospitality. 
At 5:30 we share a meal and dessert for £2 if you want to join at that point. Afterwards most of us head to the 6:30 service at church.

6:30 Service - Every Sunday

Straight after Living Room we'll head over to church to encounter the Living God. We'll get together to worship, pray together, be comforted and challenged by the word of God, and receive ministry from God through prayer and reflection. Doesn't always look the same, but come expectant, we see God moving.

Prayer Walking

We believe God will move on our campus. That our prayers make a difference there, and that we can do miraculous things in the power and authority of Jesus Christ. We want to pray blessing and spiritual revival on our campus, and God's goodness in the lives of those we meet there. Get in touch via the contact details on the linktree if you want to get involved. And check out this introduction to prayer walking from our very own Joe Goodchild. On Fridays we go together from outside building 100 at 10am. 

Sport Groups

We have group chats where casual sport gets organised with Highfield students, and friends. Currently there is a football, netball, badminton, squash and running (parkrun) group. If you'd like to join any of those groups reach out to Tim using the contact details on the linktree. No skill needed!

Christmas Living Room & Carols! - 12th December

On the 12th December, Living Room will go Christmas! With a Christmas quiz at 4:30pm and Christmas meal at 5:30pm it won't be one to miss. A great opportunity to invite friends. Then at 6:30 there will be a Contemporary carol service in the church BUT ALSO live streamed to the living room where you can carry on with refreshments at the tables, and get hosted by Joe and Serene. Either place will be a great time.

Weekend Away! - 28th-30th January

Every year the majority of the Student Community embark on a trip away. During these three days, we spend time delving deep into the word, worshiping, and having fun. This is a significant event that always brings out some amazing stories of faith. Previously, we've welcomed Guest Speakers from across the UK in shape of church pastors, specialist evangelists and members of the Fusion team. Expect to encounter God and grow in your faith, get it in your diary.

SixtyOne - 4th-7th August

"SIXTY ONE IS A GOD-CHARGED SPACE FOR STUDENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS TO PRIORITISE THE PRESENCE OF GOD, AWAKENING DEEPER CALLING AND CONFIDENCE IN LIFE’S NEXT STEPS."

This year SixtyOne, a collab between fusion and new wine, is launching for the first time. We're going to take a group up and go in join in with what God is doing. Tickets are £85 if you get the early bird, and we'll club together to do food and a communal tent. We'd love you to be there, so get it in the diary and more details will follow at the weekend away.

  Where does the food come from? The Big Difference is a  Food Redistribution Project serving the community of Southampton, based at Above Bar Church. They  work with charities and community groups in Southampton to help struggling families and the vulnerable who are facing food poverty. There is hope. All the food at Highfield Church Centre comes from the Big Difference. They are a food project in the city gathering food from supermarkets and getting it to charities and organisations who use it to help the city. Highfield Student team often go and pick up excess fresh produce to make sure it doesn't go to waste, and at the same time support students. It's not always easy making ends meet when student loans only go so far.  Highfield Students do a lot more than just pickup food. Pre-Launch Plans!

Hey Everyone,   Welcome back from the summer! Hope you've had a refreshing time with friends and family! I was going to tell you about the vision for the term, but I've decided to hold that back just a bit longer whilst I and the student team continue to pray about it. But you don't have to wait for that, because we've got some pre-launch plans; some things that are easy going, and centred around community and prayer, because we just want to get back together with one another and with Jesus. So without further ado…   Prayer and Worship Evenings Tuesday 14th, 21st & 28th, 7pm for 7:30pm start   A time of prayer, worship and intercession for new students. We want to get together, into God's presence, and see where he leads us. It's a great chance to pray for freshers as they arrive, but also to align our hearts with Gods and to let him be known to us afresh.
